In order to obtain the
Professional Equivalency to work as a Registered Nurse in the U.S., the
candidate will be evaluated as follows:

Test of English Proficiency

Educational Evaluation
Your
secondary education completion, as well as the nursing transcripts and degree
will be verified and analised. The professional license is also required for
verifications.
3.
Qualifying Exam
The
Qualifying Exam is a nursing knowledge multiple-choice test in English language. The candidate will be tested in the following subjects: basic nursing education and nursing care of adult (medical and surgical nursing), maternal/infant nursing, nursing care of children, and psychiatric/mental health nursing. The Qualifying Exam consist of 260 questions, applied in 2 sessions.
Generally, the questions describe a patient symptom and ask for the best suitable treatment, among 4 choices.
